Ibadan Grammar School Old Students Association of North America

Chemistry & Biology Labs Renovation

Fellow Mountaineers & Friends,

Our Alma mater – Ibadan Grammar School, is in dire need of your support for $75,000 for the renovation and upgrading of the School’s Chemistry and Biology laboratories. Due to lack of funding over the years, these Labs have suffered systematic maintenance neglect and have not been upgraded in the last 50 years. In terms of impact assessment, it is estimated that over 3,000 pupils will benefit from these facilities in the next 10 years.

In order to prepare the next generation of mountaineers for the challenges of the twenty-first century, IGSOSANA is focusing on academic support and in particular: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. We hope to achieve this through a Five-Year Rolling Plan culminating in IGS Centre of Excellence in Science Education by 2023. The upgrading of these labs are sine qua non to achieving this noble objective.

The main purpose of sending a child to school by any parent, is to enrich their knowledge and achieve their God-given potentials to the fullest – we want to make this a continued reality. The greatest investment anyone can make, is to invest in the next generation. According to Martin Luther King, Jnr – Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are we doing for other?’ This is our chance and opportunity to do something for others and invest in future generation of scientists.

Join us in this noble cause by making your donations in Nigerian Naira or the US dollar through: www.igsosana.org. No amount is too small!

Deo et Patriae!
